About The Practitioner

With a deep and proven belief in the body's innate capacity to heal, Heather Bree, LAc, has built a practice for over 15 years throughout the triangle, primarily serving both Hillsborough and Raleigh.  By combining traditional Eastern methods from China and Japan, her extensive training includes post graduate study in both of these countries. With a gentle technique that is often remarked on, deep listening and respect for the natural rythms of your body, Heather works diligently to apply the wisdom of traditional acupuncture to more modern wellness needs. "I see healing as a collaboration. And provide a safe haven for all bodies, from all backgrounds,  to find calm, clarity, and relief." Through these methods, acupuncture can treat most health issues, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual.

Heather lived in Hawaii as a child, studied in  Japan in college, and has always felt most comfortable with Asian ways. When not giving treatments, she can be found locally exploring hikes, restaurants and  yoga studios, fostering dogs, and loving on the furry four leggeds at home. An avid global traveler, Heather has most recently found new meaning in working to support kids in need in Cambodia, inspired by visiting a school and care center in Battambang twice in 2025.  She is proud to have started a non-profit to this end, Foundation 1(9)68.

She is currently  a providing practitioner through Duke Integrative Health's pilot study on acupuncture and mindfulness in healing from spinal surgery.
