Swedish Massage is traditionally known as ‘relaxation’ massage because of the calming effects on both the body and mind. Using long, gliding strokes, kneading and compression techniques, gentle rocking and joint mobilizations, swedish massage stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, creating a deep sense of peace, calm and relaxation.
Deep Tissue massage targets specific muscles and deeper layers of tissue that are tight, stressed or injured.
Myofascial massage works on releasing restricted patterns within fascia, the connective tissue that encompasses every muscle, fiber and cell in the entire body. Myofascial therapy is great for correcting structural imbalances that result from injury, habitual/repetitive patterns and the pain associated with these habits.
Prenatal massage is designed specifically for expecting mothers, addressing areas of stress & tension in both the body and mind. Special care is taken for optimal comfort in a side-lying position, with plenty of bolsters/pillows to support the changing and growing body. This therapy will benefit not only the mother, but the baby as well.
Reflexology stimulates specific points (on the feet, hands and ears) that create effects in corresponding organs, glands, bones, muscles and systems of the body. Reflexology is deeply relaxing & detoxifying and produces an incredible healing response in both the body and the mind.
